梅雨襲南台，台鐵南迴線今天傍晚慢速行駛，高雄開往台東的南迴線有五列次受影響，但載客率並沒有因此下降。
台鐵高雄站長上官慧珠說，南迴鐵路列車時速依路段有所不同，平均時速約九十公里至一一○公里，但受沿線連日大雨影響，為確保行車安全，下午五時起南迴線加祿往返枋野間有四處行車時速慢行至六十公里。
她表示，今天受影響的列車有五列，最早的是下午五時十分，最晚的一班為晚間九時三十五分；由於列車慢行屬不可抗力因素，因此列車若因此延誤，旅客不得求償。
她指出，南迴線列車假日搭乘人數較多，二十三日、二十四日幾乎班班客滿；今天下班尖峰時間載客率約七成，與平常上班日差不多，列車慢行影響旅客的意願似乎不大。
